Michael Henkel was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1999, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Drawn to photography during his first year of college, Henkel received his Associate of Science in Photographic Technology from Daytona State College in June of 2022, where he qualified for the Dean’s list in 2020 and 2022. In 2024, he received his Bachelor of Science in Photography from the University of Central Florida School of Visual Arts and Design where he received his nomination into the National Society of Leadership and Success. His work focuses on the documentary genre of photography and has exhibited the UCF Thesis exhibition at the Southeast Museum of Photography in Daytona Beach, Florida.
